With a core focus on world class academics, at Ashwood Glen, we have integrated key aspects from the established Montessori, and, progressive International Baccalaureate (IB) methodologies. By merging these proven methods, we create a unique, well-balanced educational program that facilitates early learning and brain development.

Students in our Children’s House spend their formative years in a safe structured environment that celebrates diversity and inclusiveness, with peers and faculty spanning a multitude of nationalities. Toddlers and preschoolers start off in a near traditional Montessori setting where they are exposed to learning through play. They ‘discover’ the world around them with the help of specialized educational materials and have free reign within their structured environment. Children are both challenged and supported to ensure the climate is right to build confidence and gain knowledge at their own individual pace.

If granted IB authorization, our kindergarteners would become our youngest cohort of IB learners. As our students enter kindergarten, they do so with a solid foundation to engage in an inquiry-based learning approach that continues to challenge them as they explore and learn about the world around them through sensory stimuli. This transdisciplinary environment develops the child holistically; inside and out. Slowly, but surely our students will emerge passionate, driven and as beacons of positive change in the world around them.
To strengthen the foundation, our curriculum integrates the world renown Singaporean math concepts to sharpen minds and solidify conceptual understanding. Gradual learning from concrete objects to pictorial depictions to mastering the abstract, ensures a deeper, more thorough understanding of the underlying concepts.

The inclusion of STEAM, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math in our curriculum at Ashwood Glen, further encapsulates our commitment to providing a holistic progressive educational experience. Through STEAM, we see beyond traditional academic silos, replacing them with an interdisciplinary learning philosophy exposing students to challenges akin to real-life situations. The combination of creative thinking and scientific principles increases the child’s sense of wonder and trigger their imagination to help reach their potential.
