At Ashwood Glen we embrace this love and energy, gently harnessing and molding it to help cognitive and creative development. With a Montessori initiation, children are free to roam the classroom at will and are permitted to explore and soak in their surroundings and experiences.
Our focus is to foster independence and motor skill development while introducing our toddles to basic academic concepts such as colors and shapes. Building on the Montessori setting, stations are set up to engage students and help them discover their interests. Building blocks and puzzles; music and artwork; exploring nature and tranquil mindfulness all contribute to students being exposed and engaged across a variety of mediums and experiences.
Children learn at their own pace; the little ones emulate the older, and the older practice their patience and knowledge on the younger ones. This not only encourages and motivates the children, but fosters strong bonds, build social skills and creates a foundation for trust and respect.
